Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii - Day One
Today we decided to explore Honolulu on our own. Jim, Kim, Dan, Cindy & Jodi
all had the same idea! Since we were all going to explore, we figured we'd do it
together. After a bunch of circling around we decided the cheapest way to do
things was to rent a car. Jim, Kim, Dan & Cindy were going to be staying in
Honolulu for two days so they would just rent a van for the whole time and we
would contribute for the day we'd be with them. It was a great bargain at $7 a
person for the day in the mini-van! We stopped and had lunch at Hooters. After
that we headed out to the Blow Hole, The Sandy Beach Park and Diamond Head
Crater. We had to get back to the ship around 6 so that we would have time to
pack up our stuff so that we could get it outside the cabin right after dinner.
While I packed Scott went up on deck and took some great pictures of the sunset
over Honolulu. I got everything packed up in time to get a shower and make it to
dinner. After dinner we went back to the cabin to put the luggage out. After that
we went to meet Jim, Kim & Jodi in the atrium to have a few drinks before it was
time to hit the hay. We then said our goodbye's, or rather our "til we meet
again's" and went back to the cabin to hit the hay!
