| Carnival Spirit Hawaiian Cruise Maui - Day Two |
Kahalui, Maui, Hawaii - Day Two
We set the alarm for 2:30 am! Yep, you read that right, 2:30 AM! We got
up and got ready and we headed out and followed the ships excursion bus
up to the top of Haleakala. Our goal was to see the sunrise. We weren't
so lucky. As you can see from our pictures the clouds rolled in and that
was the end. We did however get some great pics coming back down the
mountainside. After that adventure we returned the rental car. We went
back to the ship to get something to eat. We were going to take a nap but
we didn't want to waste a day on the island. So we headed out and ran
into Dan & Cindy who were looking to go to a beach. We decided to catch
a taxi to the Maui Ocean Center. Dan & Cindy went into the Aquarium
and Scott and I walked around the shops. We then decided to catch the $1
shuttle back towards Kahalui to the shopping there. We walked around a
mall for a bit and then caught a shuttle back to the ship. Once on board
we both crashed! We slept for a few hours and then got up and went do
dinner! What an exhausting day but it was fun and an adventure for sure!
